Personal project character that I made, in the vein of The Last of Us and The Walking Dead. All renders are realtime in Marmoset Toolbag. Modeling in Zbrush and Maya. Baked in Xnormal and Knald, all texturing done in Photoshop.
For this project, I tried the TexturingXYZ workflow for the facial details, which I found to be quick and fantastic for doing the closeup details.
The coat, sweater, shirt and pants were started in Marvelous and finished in zbrush. Everything else, head, body, backpack, shoes etc. were all sculpted in zbrush. The gun was poly-modeled.
I was shooting for Paragon type specs. The base character (no gun) is approx. 80K polygons, and he uses 4 texture sheets to make use of detail maps.
